Experience the rich tradition of acoustic blues through workshops and live performances. The schedule features day-long opportunities for playing, informal jamming, an assortment of band labs, and the popular participants' concert. The Acoustic Blues Festival also includes mainstage performances at McCurdy Pavilion, and club performances throughout Port Townsend.

Puffin Cruises to Protection Island

Saturday August 2, 2014; 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Each summer Protection Island comes alive as thousands of seabirds arrive to breed and raise their young, including rhinoceros auklets, glaucous winged gulls, pigeon guillemots, black oystercatchers, two kinds of cormorants---and of course the tufted puffin. Cruises will be held Fridays and Saturdays in the summer of 2014.

2nd Annual Community Yard Sale and Fundraiser

Sound Storage will be holding its 2nd Annual Community Yard sale and fundraiser. The tenants of Sound Storage will be joining together to help raise donations for Center Valley Animal Rescue, a local non profit no-kill rescue group here in our own backyard. 606 East Park Avenue, Port Townsend, located on the backside of Goodwill and Union Bank.

Summer Cider Day 2014

Saturday, August 9, 2014; 12:00pm – 5:00pm at Northwest Maritime Center

Summer Cider Day is one of the largest cider tasting events in Washington state. Meet at least 15 cidermakers, and taste from 50 varieties of local and regional ciders. Advance ticket prices are $25 or $20 for NWCA members. Tickets are $30 at the door. Event ticket price includes admission for one, 10 tasting tickets, and a keepsake Northwest Cider Association glass.
